Before: I had no plan for my working days and office hours became more of a social hour with other agents and would get a little bit of work in during the day. By the time the day was over, I would head home with very little results towards building my now and future business. I would be home and feeling guilty about not putting work in to support my family and would not be fully present while home with them and thinking about what I should have gotten done during my working hours. I was good at converting leads and closing deals, so my business was sporadic and I would ride the roller coaster of chasing deals and my bank account followed the same path. Worrying about going out of business and having to go back to a 9-5 corporate position, I decided to create my ideal weekly schedule and have that become my accountability partner.
After: Became accountable to my schedule and created a 3-hour morning block to make all new business calls and made it non-negotiable. Focused my mornings on new business by either warm phone calls or meeting with trusted professionals to grow my referral network. Explained to my clients I would be available between the hours of 10am-11am daily to answer any questions or deal with any issues they were going through. After 30 days of following this process, warm leads turned into new business and repeating the same daily habits 5 days per week led to a scaling business model of consistent new business coming my way to make it more predictable and going from zero to 30 deals in 12 months or less all centered around my 3-hour morning work block of time that I made non-negotiable.
